WHO WE ARE

DIVINE EMPOWERMENT CENTRE CHURCH (DECC) is a vibrant, Christ-centred ministry committed to the practical teaching, sound interpretation, and daily application of the Word of God. As a Spirit-filled and purpose-driven church, DECC exists to nurture believers into spiritual maturity, empower them to walk in their God-given identity, and equip them to influence their communities and generations for Christ. Rooted in fellowships and driven by a passion for missions, the ministry functions as a spiritual family where lives are transformed, destinies are shaped, and disciples are raised to fulfill the Great Commission.

Church

DECC serves as a spiritual hub where individuals encounter God, discover purpose, and are empowered to impact their generation. Through its various ministries and outreach programs, the church continues to touch lives, strengthen families, and bring hope to communities.

Fellowships

Fellowship is central to our spiritual growth, community life, and discipleship journey. We believe that transformation happens best in relationships; therefore, we provide structured fellowship platforms that cater for different group sizes and spiritual needs. These fellowships create opportunities for believers to connect, grow, serve, and experience God together. 1. Small Group Fellowships (Connection Centres) These are intimate, home-based or community-based gatherings designed to foster close relationships and personal spiritual growth. Small groups provide a safe and nurturing environment where members can: • Study the Word of God in a practical and interactive way • Engage in prayer, counseling, and mutual support • Build strong, accountable relationships • Identify and develop spiritual gifts Small groups are the backbone of DECC, ensuring that every member is known, cared for, and spiritually nurtured. 2. Mid-Size Fellowships (Ministry & Departmental Gatherings) These fellowships bring together believers with shared interests, callings, or demographics. They are larger than small groups but still maintain a sense of community and participation. They include: • Men of Substance(MOS) Fellowship • Daughters of Divinity (DOD) Fellowship • Sold Out to Christ-SOC (Youth-Fellowship) • Corporate & Business Fellowship (CBF) • School of Power Institute (SPI) • Power Praise Rehearsals & Training Mid-size fellowships focus on discipleship, leadership development, mentorship, and equipping members for service within the church and beyond. 3. Celebration Gatherings (Corporate Worship Services) These are large, vibrant gatherings where the entire church family comes together in unity to celebrate God. They typically include: • Word, Wonder & Worship (Midweek Services)Wednesday • Prayer & Power Services-Friday • Sunday Celebration Services • Possibility Services- Last Friday of Every Month. • Testimony Service-Last Sunday Service of the Month. • Commanding the Month Service- 1st Sunday Service of the Month. Trainings

The School of Power Institute is the training and equipping arm of Divine Empowerment Centre Church (DECC), established to raise mature, knowledgeable, and Spirit-empowered believers who are effective in Christian living and ministry. It is a center of biblical instruction, spiritual formation, and practical ministry training designed to develop believers into strong disciples of Christ and impactful Kingdom workers. The institute is committed to grounding students in sound biblical doctrine while also imparting spiritual gifts, leadership capacity, and ministerial skills. Through structured classes, mentorship, practical ministry exposure, and Holy Spirit-led training, participants are equipped to understand the Word of God deeply and apply it effectively in daily life and service. Key areas of focus include discipleship, evangelism, prayer and spiritual warfare, leadership development, church growth principles, and personal character formation. The School of Power Institute also serves as a platform for identifying and nurturing future pastors, leaders, evangelists, and ministry workers within the body of Christ. Beyond classroom instruction, the institute emphasizes activation and demonstration, helping believers to move in the power of the Holy Spirit with confidence, boldness, and accuracy in ministry. Through the School of Power Institute, DECC is fulfilling its mandate of raising a well-trained, Spirit-filled generation that is rooted in the Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and equipped to transform the world for Christ.

Outreaches

Power Evangelism is the dynamic evangelistic wing of Divine Empowerment Centre Church (DECC), dedicated to advancing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with demonstration of the Spirit and power. It is founded on the conviction that the message of Christ is not only to be preached but also to be manifested through signs, wonders, and transformed lives. This arm of the ministry is committed to reaching the lost, the unchurched, and the unreached through strategic, Spirit-led outreach initiatives both within local communities and beyond. Through open-air crusades, street evangelism, door-to-door missions, community engagements, and digital outreach, Power Evangelism seeks to bring the reality of Christ to people in a practical and life-changing way. At the heart of Power Evangelism is the demonstration of God’s power through healing, deliverance, and prophetic ministry, confirming the truth of the Gospel and drawing many into salvation. It also focuses on raising and equipping believers to become bold and effective soul winners by providing training in evangelism, discipleship, and ministry. Power Evangelism works hand in hand with the broader vision of DECC by ensuring that souls won are not only brought to Christ but are also discipled, integrated into the church family, and empowered to grow in their faith and purpose. Through this evangelistic mandate, DECC continues to fulfill the Great Commission, bringing light to darkness, hope to the hopeless, and salvation to all who believe.

Our History

Divine Empowerment Centre Church (Headquarters) was founded on 22nd February 2009, beginning as a small Christian fellowship of approximately 10 members, the majority of whom were students. The ministry commenced in a makeshift facility in Kireka, a suburb of Kampala. In response to growth and expansion, the church later relocated to Seeta within the Kampala Metropolitan Area, where it continues to flourish in membership, spiritual impact, and community. From these beginnings, the ministry has grown to establish multiple fellowships across the nation.
